War Veterans Assistance Group, Incorporated was formed in February 2013. A group of veterans and friends decided to make a difference in the lives of veterans from the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts by helping to provide Vermont wounded veterans with financial assistance and providing them with special equipment to help them get through their daily lives. Whether the need is sports equipment or basic transportation, WVAG, Inc., will consider each situation individually and because of the directors diverse backgrounds, help provide “tools” for assisting wounded veterans to recover from their injuries. It will also help them to adapt to their new and perhaps different lifestyles so they can enjoy a better quality of life for themselves and for their families.
WVAG, Inc., will raise funds by conducting golf tournaments, throughout the summer months, here, in the State of Vermont. Currently, there is a tournament scheduled for 22 May 2015 at the Enosburg Falls, VT Country Club and another tournament scheduled for mid August 2015 at the Williston Country Club in Williston, Vermont. Our hope is that more events will be generated throughout the State of Vermont. These events will be scheduled by WVAG Directors based on various affiliations they have with industry throughout the State.
This Corporation was formed for the benefit of Vermont veterans in need. None of the officers will be compensated unreasonably for services they provide. Mileage reimbursement and lost time from work would be examples of potential reimbursements. This Corporation is based in Franklin County, Vermont. It’s Directors are from Franklin County and other counties throughout the State. We feel that this will assist us in gaining exposure to the public eye. Additionally, a website is available to help the general public gain access to tournaments and maintain contact with WVAG year round.
Our intent is simple. Raise funds, improve lives, instill camaraderie and share our collective talents with veterans who are deserving of our help.
